I grew up loving my home cooked food from Yecla:

gachasmigasFlour gruel & bread crumb (gachasmigas). Flour tortilla, with oil, garlic, salt and water. gazpachos manchegosGazpacho manchego. Game or poultry, and mountain snails, put on a cake of unleavened bread.
pelotas de rellenoStuffing balls (pelotas de relleno). Lean chopped, bread crumbs, pine nuts, parsley and spices, cooked in a stew. queso frito con tomateFried goat cheese with tomato sauce (queso frito con tomate). Lean chopped, bread crumbs, pine nuts, parsley and spices, cooked in a stew.
empanadas de patataPotato pie (empanadas de patata). caracolesSnails in sauce (caracoles)
tortas fritasFried cakes (tortas fritas). Fried cakes with sugar, salt, honey or anchovies. libricosLittle books (libricos). Wafer with honey.
pan benditoBlessed bread (pan bendito). sequillosDried pastries (sequillos).
toñasCake (toñas). rollicos de anísAnise fried cakes (rollicos de anís).
